First Home Education
Buying a first home is a learnable, hands on skill, not an instinct. This workshop series teaches it directly: budgeting, financing, offers, inspections, and closing, worked through step by step before a single dollar is at risk.
What we do
First Home Education is a free workshop series built specifically for people buying their first property. Instead of a single lecture, participants work through the actual tools of a purchase: building a realistic budget, comparing financing and pre approval, reading an offer and its conditions, understanding what an inspection covers, and knowing exactly what happens between an accepted offer and the day the keys change hands.
Sessions are practical by design. Participants leave with a personal budget worksheet, a plain language glossary of the terms they will meet in a real transaction, and a checklist for their own home search, not just notes from a talk.
How it works
Workshops run in small groups so every question gets answered, and they follow a consistent path: money and financing first, then how to evaluate a property and write an offer, then what happens after acceptance, through closing and moving in. Upcoming dates are announced by email as they are scheduled.
Community groups, schools, and employers can also request a session for their members through our contact page. There is no fee and no product sold at the end of any session.
Who it is for
Renters planning their first purchase, young professionals starting to save, newcomers to Canada learning how the market works here, and parents who want to help an adult child prepare. No prior knowledge is assumed.
